Our queen room was more than new-fashioned. Location: the hotel was just next door to centre of town, the beaches and city and Byron Bay. We found nice Manna Haven nearby with hot beverages...
Shame the bathroom was cold.

Location was great. Quiet street but really close to everything. Beds were firm and comfortable. Room to move around. Not like a hotel room. Ie, large kitchen, large covered verandah. New owner, Virginia, really tried hard - even gave us a big slab of homemade chocolate cake! Good value for money.
Only thing was the shared bathroom but actually it worked out ok. We stayed for a week and in that time I didn't have to wait once and my husband had to wait one time only.

Large studio with cooking facilities. Friendly owners.
Security could be a problem as there is no onsite management at night and the house is left open. The problem was not the accommodation more Byron Bay. The walk into town was along unkept pathways and over a disused rail cross with little lighting and groups males hanging around. The roads around Byron Bay are in a state of disrepair. Whilst the b&b was good we would not return to Byron Bay or recommend it to our friends as the council obviously does not want tourists.

Title: A Family-Friendly Oasis in Byron Bay!
My children wanted a small play area or some toys for the little ones.

It had a friendly feel to it and made you feel at home. The facilities were fantastic, everything there for use in the kitchen. The only down side was the shared bathroom, although when there are only 4 rooms in the whole place this was not an issue at all. Payment for the room was very reliant on honesty, which I loved, definitely made the stay feel more homily and comforting. Rianne (I think was her name) left a friendly note under my door the next morning to tell me when and how to pay :) Would definitely stay again :)
Everything was fantastic but we did notice sand left behind in our bed sheets... Do not believe this was from us, but apart from that everything else did some clean.
